Reporting problems
Parking / Abandoned VehiclesA vehicle is considered abandoned if it remains on public streets for more than 24 hours. Stalled vehicles may be reported to the Police Department, 728-6311, and may be on the street for no longer than 24 hours. Vehicles parked in public parking lots are considered abandoned after 24 hours, or on private property for more than 10 days. To report abandoned vehicles, contact the Police Department, (262) 728-6311.
Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles are not to be kept on private property for longer than 10 days, as this is considered a public nuisance. These vehicles will also be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
Buildings (Abandoned)To report abandoned, unsecured or unsafe buildings, contact the City of Delavan Building Inspector, (262) 728-5585, or the Police Department evenings and weekends.
