Open Book and Board of Review
Open Book and Board of Review for the City of Delavan have not been scheduled, as the assessment roll is not ready.
We anticipate Open Book will be held some time after the 15th of June. Please call 728-5585 after June 10th to see if it has been scheduled.
Open Book is the opportunity for property owners to meet with the assessor, National Appraisal, to discuss the assessed value on property.
Board of Review is a quasi-judicial hearing where the property owner must provide testimony to the Board regarding the value of their property.
The best evidence of fair market value is a recent sale of the subject property.
Second are recent sales of comparable properties. The property owner can also provide other factors or reasons.
